WAY BEYOND ESG QUALITY AND SAFETY IN HEALTHCARE: 7th Latin-american Forum on SEPTEMBER 12 - 15

THE EVENT

In 2015, the Latin American Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare was created in partnership between Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. That year, the importance of seeking sustainability in the healthcare sector was already in discussion. In 2022, the event reaches its seventh edition highlighting this need with even greater amplitude and more maturity, focusing on the importance of decision making in healthcare institutions in an integrated manner in the environmental, social, and governance dimensions of operation.

VENUE: NOVO CENTRO DE ENSINO E PESQUISA ALBERT EINSTEIN – CAMPUS CECÍLIA E ABRAM SZAJMAN

The 7th Latin American Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare will address the urgency to commit to these three pillars as well as the need for governments, institutions, companies and society to work together. The program will include real-life experiences to show how healthcare companies can promote good social and environmental practices and seek opportunities for partnerships for sustainability actions reaching beyond their boundaries. It will also share experiences on how continuous process improvement can lead to operational excellence, waste reduction, and risk management.

THE PARTNERSHIP

In 2015, the Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein (SBIBAE), a Brazilian healthcare institution with more than 60 years of history, a benchmark for excellence in care, humanization, social responsibility, education and research, partnered with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), a nonprofit organization based in the USA and with more than 30 years of experience as a promoter, partner and driver of results in healthcare improvement, to launch the 1st Latin American Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, in which almost 2,000 participants from around the world had the opportunity to participate.Since 2015, these two organizations have been developing a growing community of professionals committed to improving the quality and safety of healthcare in Latin America.
